Wings of Unity: AirBorneo unveils new brand identity

Sarawak’s new airline, AirBorneo, recently took a major step toward its inaugural flight in January 2026 by unveiling its official logo and tagline.
The ceremony, held at the Satria Pertiwi Complex, was officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, signaling a new era for the region’s air travel.
The new logo, dubbed “Wings of Unity,” is more than just a symbol.
According to Sarawak Secretary and Chairman of AirBorneo Holdings Sdn Bhd, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, it represents a deep commitment to connecting Borneo with the rest of the world.

The design is a pledge to forge authentic, inclusive, and meaningful connections, aligning with the Premier’s vision of strengthening regional connectivity, boosting the economy, and fostering cultural pride.
The logo’s design is rich with meaning, drawing inspiration from Sarawak’s natural environment and cultural heritage.
Its core elements symbolize freedom and the spirit of travel. Like a river constantly charting new pathways, the logo represents innovation and forward momentum.
Yet, its foundation remains rooted in tradition, honoring Sarawak’s past while embracing modern solutions for the future.
These nature-inspired motifs come together to create a visual identity that embodies harmony, resilience, and progress, all central to AirBorneo’s values.
Complementing the logo is the airline’s new tagline: “Borneo For You.”
This simple yet powerful phrase encapsulates AirBorneo’s vision to connect Sarawak with the world through purposeful travel.
The airline aims to be a bridge, linking communities and businesses across continents and celebrating the rich culture of the region. The brand’s identity also features Sarawak-inspired colors and patterns, celebrating the state’s unity and diversity.
