Located strategically at Lot 19351, Block 11, Muara Tebas Land District (behind OneTJ Mall) along Jalan Setia Raja, this RM24 million Type 2 clinic is a massive thing for those living in Tabuan Jaya as it is made to serve a staggering 800 to 1,000 patients daily.

This comes as an infographic shared by Dr Sim depicts that the Tabuan Jaya Health Clinic will cater for residents within a 5KM radius of the clinic, totaling at about 53,000 people.

To handle this volume, the facility will be manned by 179 dedicated healthcare personnel, ensuring that patients receive timely and comprehensive care right in our own backyard.

Klinik Kesihatan Tabuan Jaya was built as Sarawak’s second Type 2 Clinic with Klinik Kesihatan Petra Jaya being the first built. Type 2 Clinic serve as local hubs for medical care, maternal health, and chronic disease management.

That said, the new clinic is designed to be a one-stop center for the community, offering a robust list of services which include outpatient and emergency care, maternal and child health services, dental care and a fully-stocked pharmacy.

It also boast of radiology and comprehensive laboratory services, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, and other supportive services which include psychology, nutrition, and dietetics.

Aside from its healthcare facilities, this new Tabuan Jaya Health Clinic also provides 136 car parks and 48 motorcycle parking spaces for visitors and staff.

Prior to the soon to be opened Klinik Kesihatan Tabuan Jaya, residents in Tabuan Jaya had to rely on the often overburdened Klinik Kesihatan Tanah Puteh and Sarawak General Hospital which are 7.4KM and 6.9KM respectively.

The proposal of the Tabuan Jaya Health Clinic was therefore included as part of the Health Ministry’s 10th Malaysia Plan (2010-2015) with the RM24 million project finally awarded to a contractor in December 2021.

It faced several lengthy delays and missed its targetted June 2024 completion, but will soon be Sarawak’s latest healthcare facility from July 20th, 2026 onwards.
