Best places to get a massage in Kuching City

There are so many massaging centres in Kuching City, that you might only be able to guess which is the best for you.

Here, we try to list down places we know would offer you quality massages, without anything ‘kinky’ or as some call it, ‘the happy ending’.

TRIBAL REMEDY

Tribal Remedy is a popular massage centre among the locals and local tourist. It is located about 10 minutes from the city centre, and most of the masseurs are local aged ladies from the Dayak tribe.  The main benefit of going here is that they are well experienced in massaging, hence believed to be able to help you massage specific areas of pain with great care.  They are open from 10AM to 10PM daily and advance booking is not required although very encouraged. Price for a two hour full body massage is RM100. Address: P-11-G-1(A) Chonglin Park, Jalan Tabuan Kuching, Sarawak 93100. Tel: +6082-419448

BORNEO REFLEXOLOGY (PETANAK MARKET AREA)

Borneo Reflexology has a few banches around the city, so be very picky when wanting to go to the ones without ‘the happy ending’.  Our favourite is the one next to the Petanak Market which is very popular among city dwellers seeking to be treated to a fantastic foot massage.  Most of the masseurs here are Chinese (from China) male with limited English. Price for a one hour foot massage starts at RM25. Address: No. 160, 1st Floor, Jln Sungai Padungan, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak.

MIRAGE SPA

Mirage Spa is located within the city centre of Kuching and is very popular among tourist.  In fact, the spa itself is listed on TripAdvisor and has obtained a 4.5/5 rating from its customers.  Mirage is suitable for those of you seeking a relaxing massage and pampering.  They open from 10AM-10PM, and their masseurs are mostly ladies varying of age.  A full body 2 hour massage session would cost you about RM110 and advance booking is highly encouraged. Address: Lot 151 Sect 48, Kuching 93200, Malaysia. Tel:+6082424022

BATU LINTANG BLIND CENTRE

At Rm25, the Batu Lintang Blind center offers you adequate massage at the best rates in town.  The centre helps the blind earn a living, while at the same time allowing you to enjoy quality massages.  The centre has a mixture of blind masseurs, but the lady masseurs is by request only.  Expect to pay RM25 for an hour full body massage.  Address: (Shop is behind a wedding shop) 1st floor, Jalan Batu Lintang, 93200 Kuching, Sarawak.

Of course you do have hotels offering quality massages in town, but then again, their prices are high.  If you know any more great massage places in Kuching without ‘the happy ending’ which you think is good? Let us know!
