Sarawak Science Centre expected to open in 2026

RM239m Science Centre will have state-of-the-art facilities

The Sarawak Science Centre is expected to open its doors in 2026.

According to a report by Borneo Post, the centre which will be dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to make it a dynamic hub for interactive learning.

The report noted that the Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn as saying that the centre will allow students to explore the wonders of science through immersive exhibits, workshops and programmes.

According to earlier reports, the centre which is expected to be the first of its kind in Malaysia-Borneo, would cost cost RM239 million to complete.

Once completed in 2026, the centre will likely mimic Borneo Culture’s Museum by being an important tourist attraction for Kuching.
