‘Ora Et Labora’ 2024 Run scheduled on October 5

7th year run to have three categories

The 7th edition of the ‘Ora Et Labora’ Run, will be held on October 5th, 2024.

An article by New Sarawak Tribune said that the run will be themed ‘Once a Josephian, Always a Josephian!’ and it will be organized by the Old Josephians’ Association (OJA) Kuching.

The event is scheduled at 6AM from SMK St Joseph, with the organizers targetting 1,400 runners this year.

Previously, the run attracted about 1,200 runners.

Aside from the run, the OJA will also be organising numerous activities with aim to unite the present and past students of the St Joseph’s Family of Schools, which includes SMK St Joseph, St Joseph’s Private School, and St Joseph’s International School.

In addition, the run will also be an opportunity to raise funds for school extra-curricular activities with studentsable to engage in simple business trials.

The school is seeking to raise RM2million for Phase 1 of the SMK St. Joseph’s Masterplan, which focuses on enhancing facilities to encourage effective learning and collaboration among the Josephians.

The Ora Et Labora Run features three categories as seen below.

  • 1.4km walk
  • 5km Fun Run,
  • 10km Race

It is worth to note that the top 10 finishers in the 10km Race will receive additional cash prizes, with all participants also receiving a finisher medals.

Registration fees for the Ora Et Labora Run 2024 had been set from RM55 per person and each participant will receive a running T-shirt and a running bib.
