Datuk Abang Haji Kipali underpass in Petra Jaya opens to public
PETRA JAYA – The long awaited Datuk Abang Haji Kipali underpass, known also as the Petra Jaya underpass by locals, is now open to public.
The underpass, built at a cost of RM67 million was scheduled to open last November, but the Datuk Abang Haji Kipali underpass project was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Now, road users can drive directly to both Matang Jaya and Petra Jaya without stopping at the former Abang Kipali Roundabout.

Meanwhile, road users users have praised the new underpass with some posting videos of their first use of the road.
Aside from the underpass, numerous road works have been on-going in Petra Jaya area to improve connectivity, including the upgrade of the old Matang road, the completion of the new Lee Ling – Stapok road whic included the opening of the Sulaiman Daud bridge. – KuchingBorneo.info
