Bung Bratak Heritage Centre opens in Jan 2019

The almost completed Bung Bratak Heritage Centre in Bau is planning to open in 2019.

Built in honour of the ancient Bidayuh settlement history and heritage, the heritage centre is built on what is deemed to be the original ancestral home of the Jagoi-Bratak sub-group of the Bidayuhs.

Currently construction of the center is almost completed with the Public Works Department (JKR) now constructing the mountain road.

Also under works is fittings and furnishings around the area.

According to Bung Bratak Heritage Association (BBHA) president Dato Peter Minos, an invitation has been sent to the Chief Minister of Sarawak Abang Zohari Openg to officiate the centre on January 1st.
