Scoot set to increase flight frequencies from Singapore to KK and Kuching

Scoot, the low-cost carrier owned by Singapore Airlines (SIA), is set to significantly increase its flight frequency on the Kuching – Singapore route from seven to 10 times a week, effective from February 2026.

The primary reason for this substantial increase in services is to meet the high and sustained demand for air travel, specifically targeting the anticipated passenger surge during festive seasons.

According to Scoot’s CEO, Leslie Thng, this expansion is part of the company’s core commitment to strengthening its network accessibility across Southeast Asia, ensuring easy and seamless connectivity to the entire SIA Group network via Singapore.

In terms of flight schedule, the boosts in overall flight frequency would offer greater flexibility and options for travelers, though the time of the new flights were not disclosed just yet.

Aside from increasing the number of flights from Singapore to Kuching, Scoot will also increase flights to Kota Kinabalu (from 7 to 10 times weekly), with the airline also operating direct flights to both Miri and Sibu.
