The What About Kuching Festival, which is better known as WAK, will make a comeback this 2022 after being cancelled for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to an article by New Sarawak Tribune, the festival will be held during the month of October and will focus on arts, culture and lifestyle of the people of Kuching and Sarawak.
The month-long festival is expected to feature a multi-genre programme which will be centred in the city of Kuching with some events also held outwards towards greater Kuching.
According to the same report, the organizing committee of What About Kuching Festival 2022 has received 69 proposals from 59 different collaborators covering 111 events of various genres including music, theatre, dance, arts and crafts, gastronomy, literary and culture, and not forgetting sporting events and eco-based adventure activities.
