After years of waiting, popular US burger franchise, Burger King is ready for a grand arrival in Kuching by occupying a parcel of Plaza Merdeka, with seats expected to be extended to the atrium.
According to the page ‘Development projects in Kuching, Malaysian Borneo’ on Facebook, the new outlet would open this month. Another outlet would also be opened at ViVa City, the new mall which is still under construction at Jalan Wan Alwi.
If we are not mistaken, Burger King used to own a franchise in Miri town years back, but some how decided to close down, suspected due to low demand. From then on, the burger franchise has been a craving of many young Sarawakians with some flying the burger for friends when they do fly over to Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu.
