This exciting aviation expansion officially kicks off with a scheduled international charter service between Kuching and Guangzhou.

Commencing on March 17, 2026, these twice-weekly Sarawak to China flights offer convenient options for tourists and business travelers alike.

The details of this flight are seen below.

  • Outbound Flights: Depart Kuching on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10:20 PM, arriving in Guangzhou at 2:20 AM.
  • Return Flights: Depart Guangzhou on Wednesdays and Sundays at 3:20 AM, touching down in Kuching at 7:20 AM.

Exploring New Routes to Zhangjiajie and Kunming

Beyond the Guangzhou route, Batik Air is actively planning direct flights from Sarawak to the breathtaking natural landscapes of Zhangjiajie and the historic city of Kunming later this year.

These plans were solidified during a recent strategic meeting between Sarawak’s Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, and Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy.

This strategic air connectivity expansion perfectly aligns with the highly anticipated Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.
