Pullman Kuching announce Chinese New Year 2026 dinner menus

Pullman Kuching recently hosted a “Lunar New Year Appreciation Night” to unveil its 2026 festive reunion menus, celebrating the upcoming Year of the Horse.

Themed “The Golden Horse Homecoming,” the event welcomed corporate partners and media to preview two distinct dining experiences scheduled for February 16, 2026.

The highlight is the Lantern Night 2026 Reunion Dinner in the redesigned Colosseum Ballroom.

This reunion menu was curated by Executive Chinese Chef Charles, guided by the traditions and symbolism of the festive season.

Rooted in classic Cantonese influences, the menu is designed for sharing, bringing together familiar flavours with subtle contemporary touches.

It also reflects Pullman Kuching’s interpretation of a reunion table, where guests reconnect over a shared meal as they welcome the year ahead.

The set dinner opens with an opulent Yee Sang crowned with whole abalone artfully tossed to welcome prosperity, good fortune, and auspicious new beginnings.

Guests will then enjoy a refined Cantonese crab meat soup, prized for its clarity and natural sweetness, followed by a Teochew-style steamed grouper finished with fragrant scallion oil and superior soy sauce to highlight purity of flavour.

The experience continues with pan-seared sea prawns glazed in a honey black pepper sauce delivering a satisfying balance of gentle sweetness and a subtle kick of spice for a memorable reunion feast.

Complementing the dining experience is a line-up of cultural performances that echo the rhythm and energy of the season, including the 24 Festive Drums, a Chinese Orchestra, and Crosstalk.

Together, these elements create an atmosphere that feels lively, reflecting the joy of reunion and shared celebration and can be enjoyed at the said date at RM2,388+ per table.

Alternatively, Culina restaurant offers a Lunar New Year’s Eve Buffet also on the same date from 6:30 pm until 10 pm with the buffet priced at RM228+ per adult and RM118+ per child aged six to eleven.

This buffet features Asian delicacies, from chicken and seafood dumplings to fragrant fried rice wrapped in lotus leaf with abalone, char siew chicken, and dried shrimps.
