
Malaysian airline, Batik Air has confirmed that it wil be enhancing air connectivity in East Malaysia with the launch of a new direct daily service linking Kuching (KCH) in Sarawak, and Kota Kinabalu (BKI) in Sabah.
Commencing operations on December 15, 2025, this highly anticipated service will strengthen business, tourism, and social ties between the capitals of Sarawak and Sabah.
The daily flights will be serviced by a modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with flight OD1682 departing Kota Kinabalu at 17:00 and arriving in Kuching at 18:30.
Flight OD1683 leaves Kuching at 19:25 and reaches Kota Kinabalu at 21:00.
Both flights offer a quick 1 hour and 30-minute journey.
