10,000 at Borneo Sonic Music Festival Concert on Day 1

Some 10,000 music fans decended to Stadium Sarawak last night to watch the likes of Rain, Youngjae, Bunga Cinta Lestari, Namewee, Pricilla Abby, DJ Ujoo, Thomas, Junny, 4EVE, and Yoon Seobin, on what is only the first night of the Borneo Sonic Music Festival Concert.

The festival, held only for the second time since it was organized last year (2023) started an hour later than expected, no thanks to heavy downpour which forced the organizers to do extra checks of their equipment to ensure everything wasn’t affected by the torential rain which only subsided about 5.30PM.

Despite the heavy downpour, the queue entering the venue remained long as festival goers, mostly in raincoats calmly entered the venue in an orderly manner, passing by strict security checks set up at each entry point.

At 7PM, the music started blazing and the brief video below will show you some bits of what happened last night.

Day 2 of the Borneo Sonic Music Festival Concert is expected to be even more energetic and packed with the likes of Yuna, Jessi, Dolla, Judika, Jess Lee, Natalie La Rose, SlumberJack, DJ Blink and Zed-X taking the stage from 6PM onwards.

Such massive corwd is widely expected since the weather forecast is good for the evening and the concert will be happening during Saturday, which will allow most of those unable to go on the first night due to work, eligible to do so tonight.

That said, it is highly advisable for those intending to go to the Borneo Sonic Music Festival Concert to take a shuttle bus and plan ahead.
