Satok Suspension Bridge reconstruction still under planning

The government is still talking to the Works Department regarding the reconstructing of the Satok Suspension Bridge which collapsed in 2004.

If reconstructed, the 130 meter bridge which used to connect Satok and Matang will be made to cater for pedestrians only.

There has been several talks of reconstructing the bridge ever since it collapse, but nothing concrete has been decided so far.

Residents staying nearby the bridge have, on numerous occasions, requested the government to rebuild the bridge due to its nostalgic value.
