Sarawak Metro shares Kuching ART blue line aerial view route
Sarawak Metro today shared a video showing the aerial route of the currently constructed Kuching Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) Blue Line.
The video which was uploaded on Youtube, showed not only the main route of the ART, but also stations which would become the main stops for the hydrogen powered tram.
Based on the video, there are several interesting things noted.
For starters, it can be seen that the Kuching ART line route utilizes a lot of the vacant land in the middle of the road which saperates traffic flow. This starts from it’s depot in Rembus, and continues into the Kuching City which is where the ART route will likely be elevated as stated in the IEEE report we previously say.
The video also shows that some stations, like the one near Simpang Tiga, as well as the ones nearby HIKMAH Exchange, Sarawak General Hospital Heart Centre and La Promenande, are not exactly in front of the landmarks although they are within walking distances from the ART station.
Main locations like the Sarawak General Hospital, tHe Spring, and Viva City Megamall do enjoy very close proximity to the proposed stations.
