Kuching White Cat statue gets blue eyes

The famous Kuching White Cat statue has received a new look with local artist Gerald Goh re-drawing and re-touching the lines on the famous cat statue.

The touch up saw the white cat now strike new blue eyes with care also given to the nose and mouth of the cat.

The blue eyes are not only just blue, but are very detailed, mimicing real cats eyes.

Changes to the cat, particularly its eyes, can be seen in the photo below, which was shared by Gerard himself.

Gerald in his public Facebook page said that he choose to colour the cat’s eyes blue because he “wants the icon of Kuching to have True Blue Vision for the immediate development of Kuching and Sarawak”.

Personally, the changes make the cat look so much better with the eyes in particluar looking more realistic especially if you are one of those who always looks into the eyes of your pet cat.

The detailed touch up by Gerald to the mouth and nose also makes the cat look so much prettier.

If you didn’t know, the Kuching White Cat Statue is a major tourist attraction in Kuching which is located at the end of Padungan Street. [See Location]

In addition to that, it is also a very popular spot for photo taking with tour busses also making it a point to do a pit stop to allow tourist to take a photo with the popular landmark.
