Kenyalang Park Chinese New Year bazaar now open until Jan 21

Those seeking Chinese New year specials can head over to the ever popular Kenyalang Park Chinese New Year bazaar in Kenyalang Park as it is now operating until 21 January 2023.

The bazaar which host 225 stalls had been absent for three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, making this years bazaar much awaited as it will be the first Chinese New Year celebrations held without restrictions, which include the opening of such bazaar.

According to Borneo Post, out of the 225 stalls, 89 stalls are operated by shop owners in the surrounding Kenyalang commercial area while the remaining are operated by outsiders.

Aside from Chinese traders, the bazaar also has a few Muslim traders which are selling hand made cakes.

The Kenyalang Park Chinese New Year bazaar is an annual event happening at Kenyalang Park in Kuching.

It is the biggest of such bazaar held in Kuching.
