Karnival Jom Heboh Segulai Sejalai Sarawak happening this January 26

Carnival returns to Kuching after 11 years of absence

The Karnival Jom Heboh 2024 tour will expand to Kuching with the Karnival Jom Heboh Segulai Sejalai Sarawak happening at Dataran Perayaan Petra Jaya, Kuching, Sarawak.

According to a press release received by us, the carnival will be held from January 26 to 28.

This time around, the organizers promise a bigger and better event as compared to their previous 2013 edition which was hald at the Perkarangan Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya, then, as they bring contest and games like Studio Tonton Drama Sangat and Studio Jom Heboh.

To celebrate the rich traditions of the Land of the Hornbills, Studio Tonton Drama Sangat will be organising fun competitions such as a children’s traditional costume competition on the 26 January, a traditional dance competition on the 27 January, and a (traditional ethnic creative singing competition) on 28 January which offer cash prizes.

Studio Tonton Drama Sangat will see special celebrity lineup at their booth such as actors Nabila Razali, Meerqeen, Anna Jobling, Aidit Noh, Sherry Ibrahim, Raden Zaharatul, Atiq Azman and Trisha Ooi, newscasters Farah Nabilah Wazer and Mior Abdul Malek, TV9 personalities Nur Affizza Azmi, Zaira Sri Zakaria, and Fizo Omar as well as guest artists Sharifah Shahirah and Hael Husaini.

Aside from that, exciting giveaways at the New Straits Times Press booths, and great tunes at the Hot FM and Vocket stage will also be organized.

At night, the organizers plan a Konsert Jom Heboh on both 27 and 28 January 2024 at 9.00 pm.

This concert will see performances from TujuLoca, Kaka Azraff, Liza Hanim, Nizam Laksamana, Aepul Roza, Baby Shima, Khai Bahar, Hael Husaini, Indah Ruhaila, Rahmad Mega, and Rem.

e-sports enthusiasts are also not forgotten with the organizers also organizing the Jom Esports Championship (JEC).

The JEC makes its first-ever Kuching debut at the Karnival Jom Heboh Segulai Sejalai Sarawak with a whopping RM5,000 cash prize pool across two stages up fro grabs.

The two stages are Online Qualifiers which will be held from January 20-21st, and the Grand Finals on January 27th & 28th at Dataran Perayaan Petra Jaya.
