Batu Kawa Mooncake Festival (BKMF)
The Batu Kawa Mooncake Festival (BKMF) is the second largest food festival after the Kuching Food Fair of Kuching Festival in Kuching.
It boast over 130 stalls on a yearly basis, transforming the small town of Batu kawa into a buzzing street food paradise during its week long festival.
Celebrated to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival, the festival is landmark event in Kuching.

What to expect during the Batu Kawa Mooncake Festival
The food festival will be held from 5.00 pm to 11pm along Batu Kawa Bazaar.
The event brings together participants from all races, cultures and walks of life to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Despite being a Chinese related celebrations, many non-Chinese locals not only join in as audiences and patrons, but as vendors and competition participants.
Aside from featuring Chinese cultural performances and traditions, the festival also features food, music and cultural performances along a lantern-lit scenic street, which is one of Kuching’s oldest streets.
With that said, expect a lot of food, cultural performances and music during this festival.
It’s highly advised you wear something comfortable when you go to the festival.
