KUCHING – Santubong MP Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has secured a RM300,000 allocation from the Federal Government to build a church in Bandar Baru Semariang.
Wan Junaidi said the state government had approved land for the church project, the details of which were being worked out.
“Semariang Baru is booming and growing fast. There are now some 2,000 Malay houses, 600 Iban houses and 350 Chinese houses there,” he told The Star.
Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd group is the developer of the new township.
