The anual Merdeka Auto Carnival will be held at iCOM Square in Jalan Pending, Kuching this year. Previous editions were held at Le Park, Kuching, but a decision was mae to transfer the venue to the newly completed commercial centre in the city.
Some 400 cars are expected that the event organized by Sarawak Auto Society (SAS) with the two-day event aiming to bring like-minded youth and community together in the largest single gathering on Aug 22 and 23.
Aside from activities involving car enthusiast, the organizers are expecting people interested in healthier activities like Zumba, street workout and street dance to come to the event as they anticipate about 5,000 people a day at the event.
Other major activities to be held at the carnival include exhibition featuring various automobile products and merchants, food and beverage, as well as government agencies and non-governmental organisations, Ismaco Jimisar car joy ride, photography competition, drift demo, car limbo, and lucky draws.
There would also be a Kone Attack Final competition, automotive show and audio show competition.
