Kuching has a large number of western food restaurants, with some earning high recommendations, even from westerner themselves. Here, we try to list down as many of these restaurants that we know of. - Mike’s Smokehouse – Tucked away from all the chaos of the city. Pork ribs is their specialty.
- Oinks – Large variety of beers. Generous on food portion. Specialty is pork
- Bla Bla Bla – Nice ambiance.
- The Junk – Generous in portion. Food is good. You can hang out all night, and party downstairs.

- The Granary
- Basaga – A great place if you want privacy. Not your usual dining place.
- Magenta Restaurant
- Jambu Restaurant – Great for a romantic dinner. Privacy assured.
- Elephant Cafe & Bistro – Crowded during lunch hour. Serves Asian food as well.
- John’s place – Offers fast service and food is generally good.
- Tony Roma’s – Bottomless soft drinks.
