Sarawak to be under full lock-down from 29 May 2021
The whole of Sarawak will be under full lock-down from 29 May 2021.
The news was reported by new portal DayakDaily which claimed ‘a reliable source’ had made such news known to them.
According to the portal, the decision will be made known later by the Sarawak government.
It was not mentioned how the ‘total lock-down’ will be implemented, but with Sarawak today recording over 770 positive Covid-19 cases, the move is much expected as signs of a respite from the virus are no where to be sighted.
According to the news portal, the lock-down is expected to last for two weeks, ending only after the well celebrated Gawai Dayak, on 11 June.
UPDATE 5.30PM: SDMC announced that Sarawak will be under MCO as stated above, confirming the news made by DayakDaily.
