Sarawak International Festival Music and Arts (SIFMA)

The Sarawak International Festival Music and Arts or better known as SIFMA is a festival focusing on live music and arts.

Unlike other music related festivals, SIFMA intends to focus more on performance arts which include and are not limited to drama, orchestras, dancers, conductors, choirs, singers and so fourth.

The event is usually a two day affair with a special segment called ‘Let’s Talk’ giving audiences the chance to listen to inspirational stories and advice from professionals and enthusiasts in the music and arts community.

SIFMA by The Festival of Arts is organised by International Music House (IMH) Kuching and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MTAC) Sarawak and Sarawak Tourism Board (STB).

Expect two nights of beautiful and mesmerizing performing arts during SIFMA.

The Sarawak International Festival Music and Arts ticket price

SIFMA was free of charge in 2021, but returned as a ticketed event in 2022.

Tickets were charged based on seating location.

In 2022, the tickets were priced as seen below.

  • Premium Seats – RM100 per person *front section towards the stage
  • Standard Seats – RM60 per person *middle to back section

Where is SIFMA’s venue

The Sarawak International Festival Music and Arts was previously held at the old State Legislative Building (DUN) but the 2022 edition was moved to the new Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Sarawak.

Since the event will be at night, it is advisable to book a ride or taxi to the venue.  Walking is not an option due to the distance of the venue from any public transportation.
