Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2025 dates announced
Festival smashed its own turnout record in 2024
After a successful Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2024, the organizers of the festival announced the dates of the 2025 edition.
The 2025 edition, which will be the festival’s 28th edition, would be held on June 20 – 22 next year (2025).
As usual, the festival would fall on Friday until Sunday.
According to an article by New Sarawak Tribune, the organizers will also be looking at the venue which was full to capacity during the 26th edition.
Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah was reported as saying that the 2024 edition of the festival will be the benchmark of Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2025 as he also hoped that air connectivity issues would be eased with Sarawak’s very own airline expected to be running next year.
According to the RTM’s article, the 2024 RWMF broke the attendance record for the festival by recording over 27,000 attendees.
The previous record was held by RWMF 2019 with about 19,000 attendees.
