Sarawak re-purpose factory to be largest indoor pickleball complex in Asia

Sarawak will re-purpose a plywood factory in Pending to be the largest indoor pickleball complex in Asia.

The move was announced by Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah who was quoted by TVS by saying that the complex would be called Pikabol.

Karim was also quoted by TVS as saying that the complex will be used for the Borneo Pickleball International Tournament which will be held from October 8 to 14 this year (2024).

Pikabol will have 16 pickleball courts when completed.

It will also house a restaurant which would be pork-free and serve a variety of fusion Asian-Western food.

Checks online show that Pikabol is currently undergoing renovation with the social media site sharing photos of its progress and plans (as seen below).
