Pantai Pasir Pandak Kuching
Pantai Pasir Pandak Kuching is located some 30 minutes from Kuching City.
It is located just beside Pantai Pasir Panjang, which is more accessible (and popular). Unlike Pantai Pasir Panjang, Pantai Pasir Pandak doesn’t have a long coast line with the beach also having large stones to curb erosion.
Only certain sections are sandy and even that is highly limited.
What to expect at Pantai Pasir Panjang Kuching
The sunset from Pantai Pasir Pandak can be magical at times, and the only way to experience it it by booking one of the many homestays in Kampung Pasir Pandak.
It is unlikely you will be able to enjoy the beach here given the fact that its very short and used by locals to berth their boats.
Large stones also occupy the beach to avoid erosion. Photos of the beach can be seen below.
How to get to Pantai Pasir Pandak Kuching
The only way to get to this beach is by private car/bike.
Since the beach is at the end of Kampung Pasir Pandak, the road to the beach is sealed. Parking maybe difficult given there is no proper parking place in the area.
Pantai Pasir Panjang Kuching and the future
I don’t hear much planning about this beach in the media, and I believe if there are improvements, it will be geared towards protecting Kampung Pasir Pandak from sea erosion.
