Malaysian songstress Ning Baizura and Indonesian crooner Harvey Malaihollo will be performing at the Kuching Waterfront Jazz Festival this Friday and Saturday (27th & 28th September) at the MBKS Community Hall.
Other than Ning and Harvey, the 3rd annual KWJF this year will see an eclectic mix of musicians and performers from around the region such as Sitti Navarro (Philippines), Dave Brewer & The DooDaddies (Australia), Dawn Wong & The Shanghai Jazz Club (Singapore), Z Yan (Malaysia), Ushera (Malaysia), Saxx In The City (Indonesia), Q Sound (US/Malaysia) and local Sarawak talents Xanaduduo, Nisa Addina, Swaiv and recent KWJF Jazz Band Search winner, The Fingerprints.
Previously held at the Grand Margherita Hotel’s Waterfront Walkway, the venue was recently changed indoors to the MBKS Community Hall due to the haze conditions in Kuching. N95 face masks, sponsored by Shine Pharmacy, will be given to festival goers in an effort to keep everyone safe and comfortable while at the festival grounds.
Organised by the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), the jazz festival includes jazz concerts for 2 nights as well as a food and art bazaar.
The family-friendly event is a free-standing event.
