Museums in Kuching begin operating with SOPs intact

All museums under the jurisdiction of the Sarawak Museum Department in Kuching have started operating this week with relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place.

The Borneo Post reported that guest to the museums are required register their personal details, use hand sanitizers, and have their temperature checked prior to entering the premise, while they should also wear masks and maintain social distancing when in the venue.

Only those aged between 13 and 60-years-old will be allowed to enter, while children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by their respective guardian the article added.

Despite the reopening, group visits are not allowed, and the number of visitors at one time will be restricted.

Museums opening in Kuching are:

All museums will be open from 9AM to 4.45pm during weekdays (Mondays to Fridays) and 10AM to 4PM during weekends and Public Holidays.
