MUJI has confirmed and announced the opening of its first store in Sarawak and East Malaysia, located at tHe Spring, Kuching Shopping Mall (Lot 132E) in Kuching, on 17 January 2025.
The store spans nearly 20,000 square feet on the first floor of the shopping mall.
The company in a press release said that it will offer a unique and immersive shopping experience for customers in Kuching and the surrounding region.
This opening marks a significant milestone in MUJI’s ongoing expansion in Malaysia.
According to the company, the new store will showcase the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic and feature a wide selection of MUJI’s high-quality products, including household goods, apparel, food, stationery, and more.
With this new location, MUJI is dedicated to bringing its thoughtfully designed, functional, and environmentally conscious products to meet the needs of Sarawak’s residents.
The addition of the MUJI store in The Spring Shopping Mall is also expected to further enhances the mall’s offerings, providing a distinctive shopping experience that seamlessly blends practicality with aesthetic appeal.
The Spring Shopping Mall is already one of Sarawak’s significant shopping destinations despite being one of the oldest among the newer malls that popped up in the recent decade.
With the new MUJI store in The Spring Kuching, residents, who had previously shopped for MUJI products online, or had to travel all the way to West Malaysia, can now experience the brand’s signature products in person.
