Despite heavy rain, over 3,300 people participated in the just concluded Gawai Dayak Parade 2024 which is also known as Niti Daun.
Some 111 contigents joined the festivities with the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, also gracing and attending the parade.
The winners of this years Gawai Dayak Parade 2024 were the Recreational Club of Kampung Tematu contigent, Raban Betong A contigent and Kenyah Sarawak National Association.
According to TVS, the three contigents managed to retain their winning streak in the parade for their respective categories namely the Bidayuh Category, Iban Category and Orang Ulu Category.
The Sarawak Agriculture Department clinch the Private, Government and others Category for this year.

For the record, the parade happens for about 1.2KM along the Kuching Waterfront with it starting at Tun Jugah Mall towards the Darul hana Bridge.
The parade is done in conjuction with Gawai Dayak with the Bidayuh’s being the organizers of the festivities for this year.
