Kuching Park Hotel in Pending has now re-opened it’s doors as Kuching’s very first smart digital hotel.
The hotel was previously closed from 04 April 2022 to allow renovations and refurbishment works to be completed.
Located nearby the Kuching Festival site, the hotel introduces smart devices in it’s rooms, which include the use of its Hello World Rewards app to allow the user to make room booking, order food, purchase deals, and operate the room automation such as turn on/off the room light, close/open the curtain and adjust the room temperature.
Aside from that, a video showcasing these features showed that amenities in the room can also be automated using voice command and sensors as well.
Check in and check out can also be done using kiosk, or by using the mobile app, hence cutting queues.
It’s worth to note that only 74 rooms are equipped with smart speakers which allow voice command.
Kuching Park Hotel new look
While the outside of the hotel gets a fresh coat of paint, the interiors of the hotel has been transformed almost entirely.

In case you are wondering, the hotel has 108 rooms and has banquet hall facilities as well.
