Kuching City to celebrate Earth Hour

The City of Kuching is set to celebrate Earth Hour again this year with some activities planned out from morning to evening of the 25th March 2017.

A press release provided stated that the events for Earth Hour would begin as early as 6:30AM as seen below.

6:30AM – 10:00AM: Senam Seni BandarayaKU
8:00AM – Expo
8:00AM – DBKU On The Move
10:00AM – Logo Earth Hour competition
7:30AM – Opening Ceremony of Earth Hour 2017
• Earth Hour Glowing Night Ride
• Earth Hour Costume Animation Walk

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The event is held worldwide annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. towards the end of March, as a symbol for their commitment to the planet.

Earth Hour has seen major landmarks in cities across the globe dim out for an hour in support for such cause, and Kuching City is proudly one of them.
