Firefly Faces Uncertainty. Statement To Be Issued By MAS
The recent business realignment exercise by Malaysia Airlines have forced Firefly’s operations to remain uncertain. Many passangers of Firefly are now complaining that routes are being canceled, particularly those involving states in Borneo, namely Sarawak and Sabah.
In recent weeks, some passangers have also received letters of flight cancelation, which resulted in them complaining to a local TV station over their predicament. Firefly has since been unable to provide any details on their own routes, and have requested their passangers to address their enquiries/complaints to [email protected] with your booking confirmation number and flight details or call 03-7845 4543. Firefly also issued a statement over Twitter and Facebook that their parent company, Malaysia Airlines will soon release an official statement ofver the business realignment exercise.
Rumours are going strong that Firefly will pull out of East Malaysia, and that a new airline called ‘Sapphire’ is set to be brought in. Shall this be true, it is greatly anticipated that tourism in Sarawak will be greatly affected.
