Air Links Bring In The Numbers For Sarawak

The increase of airlines flying into Sarawak, specifically Kuching is said to be the major reason why tourist arrivals has increased in they year 2011.

KalStar Aviation of Indonesia, now flies to Kuching

Tourism and Heritage Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg said there is a 16% increase in arrivals of tourist, with many coming from Japan, Australia and Europe. Kuching, the capital of Sarawak at the moment is connected to directly by air via AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, Brunei Airlines, Batavia Air, MasWings, Firefly, Tiger Airways, and most recently KalStar Aviation of Indonesia.  For easy comparison between airline fares, go here.
