Kuching Bas.my Routes Guide: New Additions and Terminated Services (April 2026)

Bas.my recently announced that the public transportation landscape in Sarawak’s capital is getting a significant update from April 2026.
According to the company, starting April 1, 2026, commuters will need to take note of the newly restructured Kuching Bas.my routes designed to improve service efficiency and meet growing public demand.
The new Bas.my additional routes in Kuching
Due to overwhelming public requests and comprehensive ridership assessments, the authorities are introducing six brand new Kuching Bas.my routes.
These new additions will expand coverage to key residential and commercial areas, ensuring better connectivity for everyone, including those residing in growing suburbs like Siburan and busy hubs like Samarahan.
The newly introduced routes are as follows:
- Q11 – Arang Road
- Q12 – Taman Hui Sing
- Q13 – Siburan
- Q14 – Samarahan (The Summer Mall)
- Q15 – Stutong Baru / Kuching Sentral
- Q16 – Taman Sukma
Kuching Bas.my discontinued routes
While the network expands in some areas, certain Kuching Bas.my routes will be permanently discontinued on the same date.
The Q02 Matang Jaya service will cease operations due to low ridership since its launch in July 2025.
Meanwhile, the Q03 King Centre route is being restructured and split into the new Q11 and Q12 lines to provide a more systematic travel coverage for passengers.
Finally, the Q04 Bako service will be fully taken over by the Q09 Muara Tebas line. Commuters should note that while Q09 will still serve Terminal Bako, it will no longer pass through Mydin. The discontinued routes are:
- Q02 – Matang Jaya
- Q03 – King Centre
- Q04 – Bako
