You can’t stay at Bako National Park accommodation at the moment
The Bako National Park accommodation is closed to the public. This means that those who booked a stay at the national park are not able to do so until further notice.
According to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation which manages the park, the closure of the accommodation is was due to water supply disruptions which had hit the park recently.
According to a social media posting by the management on 4 June 2022, only the accommodation facilities of the park is affected and there is no date given date for the accommodation to be operational again.
Despite the closure of the Bako National Park accommodation, the management says that those wishing to visit the park on a day trip can still do so as usual.
The park is popular for trekking as well as sighting of wildlife such as the Proboscis Monkeys and the Borneo Bearded Wild Boar.
