Sarawak enforce ban on selected tourist

The Sarawak government has announced a selected entry ban for Chinese nationals and foreigners who have been to China in the last 14 days.

In a statement issued today, it mentioned “All Chinese nationals and foreigners who have been to China in the last 14 days will be refused entry into Sarawak with immediate effect until further notice, except for those who have Employment Passes, Student Passes or Long Social Passes.

“However, they must undergo compulsory self – quarantine at home for 14 days.”

The self – quarantine is also required for Sarawakians returning from China in the last 14 days.

Chinese nationals already in Sarawak are advised to get in touch with the Chinese Consulate.

The statement said that the actions were taken as part of the Sarawak government’s effort and measures to mitigate the spread of the Wuhan Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Sarawak.
