Redeems Praise Music Festival name changed, starts today

The annual Redeems Praise Music Festival which takes place at the Redeems Centre at Kampung Apar Singai on a yearly basis would be known as the Redeems Pre-Christmas Carnival beginning this year.

According to its president Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, the name was change to further promote fellowship and unity, in line with the Christmas celebrations.

Held yearly, the carnival doesn’t charge for entry, and it is the effort of the Research and Development Movement of Singai Sarawak (Redeems)to strengthen unity among Christian denominations particularly during Christmas.

During the carnival, one can expect to enjoy busking, Christmas caroling, sale of food and drinks and a children’s Christmas party.

If you are interested to check out the Pre-Christmas Carnival this year, it is held from today (8th December) until tomorrow (9th December).

HOW TO GO TO THE REDEEMS CENTRE, SINGAI

If you are not from Bau, going to the Redeems Centre for the carnival can be tricky, so below is the Google map to the place.

There is virtually no proper public transportation to the centre, and ride sharing apps may not be available, so do rent a car, or opt to drive if you do want to go to the carnival.
