Overseas arrivals into Kuching must undergo 14 day mandatory quarantine
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) confirmed that all overseas arrivals must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine once arriving in Kuching (and Sarawak).
The mandatory quarantine will be done at selected quarantine centers allocated by the government.
During the quarantine period, two Covid-19 test will be conducted, one on the second day of arrival, and another on the 10th day of quarantine.
The mandatory quarantine will be effective 31 August 2020, hence changing previous quarantine measures stated by the Sarawak government.
Non-Sarawakians are required to bear the cost of accommodation and Covid-19 test during their respective quarantine.
Sarawakians however will be exempted from paying such fees and will enjoy their quarantine accommodation and Covid-19 test for free.
