New orchid park and museum planned for Kuching

Another museum, as well as a new orchid park is among the things planned for Kuching in the near future.

These projects are planned alongside the construction of a new Astana Sarawak, as well as the upgrade of the existing Botanical Garden.

They are expected to complement the almost completed English Teahouse at the Sarawak river, as well as the 99m tall flag pole which.

The plans were made known by newly minted Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) mayor, Hilmy Othman, which was also reported to suggest that the Kuching car-free morning be expanded to cover more areas within the DBKU area.
