AirAsia Kuching-Penang direct flight returns

AirAsia has decided to reinstate the Kuching-Penang direct flight this coming March 2024 with the airline offering flights from RM119 per way.

Based on an advert on their site, the promotional rates are for flights from 30 March until 30 November 2024.

Tickets for the flights can be booked today until 18 February 2024.

Previously, the airline was had suspended the route from 1 March 2023 over operational reasons.

The had forced many who wanted to fly to Penang to either transit in KL or opt for other flights.

Aside from AirAsia, FireFly, the sister airline of Malaysia Airlines, also flies the Kuching-Penang direct flight route.

About Penang

Penang (or Pulau Pinang) is a state in northwest Malaysia that consist of mainland Seberang Perai and Penang Island.

The island is where George Town, the capital or Penang is located.  It is famed for landmarks such as colonial Fort Cornwallis, the ornate Chinese clan house Khoo Kongsi and the Kapitan Keling Mosque.  Besides being popular for its colonial charms, the island is also known as a food heaven by many.
