More direct flights for Kuching
The Kuching – Jakarta direct flights means Kuching will be connected to its third international destination via direct flights this year with the capital city of Sarawak already connected by air to Singapore and Bandar Seri Bagawan, Brunei.
The Cat City had previously been connected directly to Haikou and Shenzen in China, and Pontianak, in Kalimantan, Indonesia, but all three routes have been axed.
The Sarawak government has in the past said that it intends to connect Kuching not only to Jakarta, but to Bangkok in Thailand.
