‘Kuching Golden Bridge’ to open on 11 November

Facebook page Kuching Development has made it public that the Golden Bridge in Kuching will be opened to public this 11 November, which is Saturday next week.

According to the page, the event would happen at 7:30PM, and will be marked with a concert, fireworks, sound and light shows, flyboard ironman and many more exciting activities.

The bridge, officially called the Kuching Golden Anniversary Bridge, was the idea of the current TYT Tun Taib Mahmud, and it is the only pedestrian bridge crossing the Sarawak river in the city at the moment.

Construction on the bridge began in 2015 with news reports suggesting the 400m long bridge cost RM35 million to build.

If you want to get the best view of the opening this coming 11 November, a stay at Hilton Kuching, and the Kuching Waterfront Hotel will help you get the best view of the whole event.
