Balai Ringin Mini Sports Complex set to open in February 2025
The newly built Balai Ringin Mini Sports Complex is set for opening this coming February 2025.
A report carried by TVS quoted Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Datuk Snowdan Lawan as confirming the date.
According to Snowdan, the RM15 million mini sports complex has just been completed and it took two years to complete.
Aside from having a stadium, the newly minted sports complex also has a hall which Snowdan says can acomodate some 1,000 people at one time.
About the Balai Ringin Mini Sports Complex
According to the design proposal shared by the Sarawak Sports Council (SSC), the Balai Ringin Mini Sports Complex consist of six components, which include a public car park, a football field with running track, and an administration building with a grandstand which can hold 400 seated guest.
Also in the design proposal is an outdoor rock climbing wall as well as two futsal courts.
All the facilities will be placed on a land measuring 19.8 acres in Balai Ringin, which is just along the Serian – Sri Aman section of the Pan Borneo Highway.

In 2021, New Sarawak Tribune reported that Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, had approved an additional RM5 million for the construction of a road to the stadium.
The new allocation adds on the already approved RM10 million for the project in 2019.
