The What About Kuching (WAK) Festival recently revealed its 2023 Calendar, paving the start of the month long festival next month.
The festival’s 5th Edition calendar was graced by the Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts, Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah with a special opening performance by the renowned musical-theatre performer and festival collaborator, Abel Law.
Based on what is listed in the calender this year, the month-long WAK 2023 will see 38 collaborators, showcasing their talents across 40 unique events, which include, but are not limited to music and dance to theatre, arts, crafts, gastronomy, and more.
Among the highlight of this years WAK is the Padawan Raft Safari 2023 International Edition which is scheduled thsi 22 October.
Another highlight would be Scottish traditional dance workshops held at Emporium Kuching on Oct 17-18, and What About Music: Y2K – Soundtrack of Our Lives on Oct 28 and What About Music: Forever Young on Oct 29 will also take place at Dewan Sri Bunga Rampai.
Aside from that, other events in the calender will be geared towards culture, arts, and lifestyle of Kuching’s community.
