TVS, the first Sarawak state-owned TV station, has expanded its physical presence in Miri with the opening of its Miri Office.
The Miri complements another already opened office in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
According to news shared by TVS, the Miri office was opened in July 2024, with the Subang Jaya Office being operational since 1st October 2024.
Graphics shown by TVS in relation to the Subang Jaya office also showed that TVS has presence also in Sibu and Bintulu, although it is not known if there are physical offices in both divisions yet,
TVS Chief Executive Officer, Kusairi Abang had said that the expansions is to obtain news and content, and also public relations and marketing.
In December 2023, TVS had announced that it will open an office in Kuala Lumpur, and expand its presence in Sarawak though offices in Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.
The expansion was deemed neccesary to expand its reach as well as increase its content and news.
Kusaidi Abang then also said that TVS had plans to work with Radio Television Brunei (RTB), Astro Warna, and TV AlHijrah.
TVS is a Sarawak based TV station which started in 2014. It is managed by Sarawak Media Group, and is owned by the Sarawak government.
