A proposed third bridge across the Sarawak River will connect Emart in Matang to Jalan Stephen Yong in Stapok Kuching, providing an alternative route to Kuching International Airport for Petra Jaya residents.
Infrastructure Development and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin said the bridge project had been approved by the Federal Government at a cost of RM145mil two weeks ago.
The project will hope to ease congestion and would be toll-free.
More details on the project will be released once obtained from the Finance Ministry.
