Shuttle bus prepared for those going to Borneo Sonic

The organizers of the Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2024 will be preparing shuttle bus service to the venue of the festival, Stadium Sarawak. The shuttle service will be available on both days of the festival, 11 and 12 October 2024.

Based on the information shared by the organizers, the bus fare is RM10/way, with pick up and drop off points located in the city at Riverside Majestic Putri Wing and Waterfront Hotel Kuching, as well as the venue, Stadium Sarawak itself (in front of Celebration Square, Petra Jaya).

In case you didn’t know, Celebration Square is where the Borneo Sonic Food Carnival is being organized.

Anyway, the bus schedule going to Stadium Sarawak will be from 2PM to 4PM, while shuttle busses from Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2024 to the city centre will operate from 11PM to 1AM.

The posters below show the bus routes for the shuttle bus service.

Why should you take a shuttle bus

While Stadium Sarawak is commonly used fro sporting events, the number of parking space is highly limited.

Considering the Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2024 is expecting some 30,000 festival goers, the crowd during the concert would be massive, pushing parking space availability to the maximum.

This will cause massive traffic jams as well as indiscriminate parking for those driving in.

Indiscriminate parking opens your vehicle to police compounds, and parking your car in the parking area of Stadium Sarawak compound will likely open your car to unexpected theft and damages.

That said, going to the festival by public transport not only saves you the trouble of searching for parking, but also gives you peace of mind in relation to the safety of your vehicle.

There is also chances that you may need to walk far from your vehicle given the limited parking space in the area, tiring yourself before and after the concert.
